J.R. Yussuf is a Nigerian-American, New York native. Think Jeremy Pope, Ncuti Gatwa, and Jessie T. Usher. Writer/director/lead of short film, Diesel and award winning author. Performed at Manhattan Repertory Theatre, Glasshouse, The Brick, and The Invisible Dog Art Center. SAGe, New York local hire.

J.R. believes in the importance of personal power and in addition to acting is an award winning author who maintains a podcast promoting emotional intelligence, forgiveness & self-improvement. He created the hashtag #BisexualMenSpeak for bisexual+ men & masculine identified folks to have the space to speak for themselves & talk about how being bisexual+ impacts the way they move through the world.
